As a Quality Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our products. You will be responsible for leading quality improvement initiatives, conducting performance assessments, and implementing quality control processes to optimize production efficiencies and exceed customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage quality improvement projects to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and statistical process control methods.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate quality-related risks.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts to optimize manufacturing processes and product performance.
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure modes and develop mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and audits to ensure supplier performance and compliance with quality requirements.
  • Participate in customer and regulatory audits, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and support the implementation of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to improve quality and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data using statistical tools and techniques to identify trends and opportunities for quality enhancement.

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in leading quality improvement projects and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting supplier quality assessments, audits, and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and software, such as statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior quality engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and best practices in quality engineering.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
