Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Construction Accounts Payable Specialist to be responsible for providing necessary support and overseeing the day to day activities of the Accounts Payable team. Responsible for spearheading all processes and procedures involved and ensuring they are followed. Assist with reviewing transactions, processing invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Please note that Bridge Tower does not hire for remote or hybrid roles. Collaboration is essential for success. This role is located in a great office, five days a week

Responsibilities:
  • Job Cost Accounting is the primary function of this role
  • Process vendor payable invoices timely and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Review weekly invoice batch sheets to ensure proper general ledger coding is utilized and appropriate approval is obtained
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payable invoices and statement reconciliations
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Work with management and other departments to continually improve processes
  • Maintain large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable and General Ledger coding
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries

Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of office devices and processes
  • Familiarity with AP Automation Software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Excel, MS Office
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to a broad range of audience including executive level managers and customers
  • Organized team player with proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • BRIX experience is a plus

Job Requirement:


  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting/payables experience
  • Experience with streamlining workflows and ensuring efficiency in payment processing
  • Construction industry experience a plus
