Job Description :

We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team and ensure our surgical suites operate smoothly and efficiently. This role is critical to the success of our surgical team and involves a wide range of responsibilities before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surgical Suite Preparation:
    • Set up drapes, sterile solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
    • Verify all equipment and instruments are functioning properly.
  • Patient Care Assistance:
    • Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including transporting, positioning, and draping them appropriately.
  • Surgical Team Support:
    • Function as an integral part of the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies accurately to the surgeon.
    • Continuously monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
    • Maintain an accurate count of all instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Specimen Handling:
    • Receive and process surgical specimens, ensuring proper delivery to the laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a surgical setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile techniques.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
