The Coach, Crossfit provides an excellent coaching experience to our members in a manner that is consistent with the core values of Meshugge CrossFit and The J.


Schedule: Part-time, 1-2 classes/day for 1 or more days a week.

Meshugge Crossfit classes are currently offered M-F at 6 different time between 5:15am-5:30pm and Sat/Sun mornings.


Essential Functions

  • Lead Meshugge CrossFit members through classes by communicating expectations for the WOD, implementing thorough and engaging warmups, and attentively guiding them safely through the workouts.
  • Open and close CrossFit room as needed.
  • Assist members in maintaining cleanliness and organization of space and equipment, specifically after class is complete.
  • Participate in Meshugge CrossFit programming during other class times and/or open gym time.
  • Warmly greet members upon their arrival as well as introduce new ones to the rest of the class.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly scheduled coach’s meetings.
  • Actively engage in professional development and continuing education.
Requirements:
  • CrossFit level 1 trainer certificate or higher
  • First Aid and CPR certification or obtain within 3 months of hire date
  • CrossFit Kids certificate is preferred
  • USAW Sports Performance Coach or other weightlifting certification, such as Catalyst Athletics, is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year coaching experience

Physical Requirements

  • Stamina to perform the exercises specific to assigned classes, including back-to-back classes
  • Constant talking, hearing, eye/hand/foot coordination
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting
  • Occasional pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching
