What You will do:- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, announcements, and participating in trade shows and conferences.
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities.
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate services, explain services and service features.
- Recommend products/services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Responsible for working with Engineering, Accounting, Materials, and Production to provide customer quotes, warranties, contract terms and delivery dates.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales effort
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
- Work with customers, suppliers and other departments/employees to provide solutions for customer issues.
- Confer with customers by telephone, email or in person in order to provide information about products and services.
- Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to show high and low usage on parts for customers.
- Identify new opportunities for revenue and improved service.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
- Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
BS/BA in Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or related discipline preferred.
Two (2) – Four (4) years of previous sales experience
Two (2) – Four (4) years of successful customer relations experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professionalism, self-assured in a variety of settings.
Requires effective relationship management skills with co-workers in a team environment and with customers in a sales and support context.
Engage and support the company’s safety culture and efficient operation of the business and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
Must be extremely reliable, responsible, dependable, to fulfill obligations.
Requires the desire to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training and education.
Computer literacy/experience required. Must be proficient in Windows environments. Working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and e-mail.
Must have valid driver's license for travel requirements
