About The Position

Specialty Kraft Converters, LLC is currently seeking a Full-Time Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. We are an established organization that treats our employees well. If you have experience in industrial machinery and plant repairs, a positive attitude, and a passion for getting the job done, you may be a perfect fit for our team. Milling, lathe and basic electrical experience desirable but not absolutely required. The candidate will be responsible for the day to day and P.M. maintenance of a large Coating & Laminating Machine along with other support equipment. Adherence to safety protocols a MUST. The candidate should be able to work unassisted and be detail oriented and organized. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

This is a Day Shift Position 7 am 3 pm, 5 days per week (Monday Friday). Given the nature of this role, additional hours would occasionally be required such as during breakdowns. Overtime is calculated daily for work over 8 hours. Up to 2 hours of OT may be required daily based on production schedule needs.

Qualified Candidates Should Possess:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance technician experience in an Industrial or Manufacturing setting maintaining process equipment
  • Formal technical school training or college degree/certificate preferred
  • Forklift, scissor lift & boom lift certified
  • PLC programming experience desirable but not a necessity
  • Machining/Welding/Fabrication experience (e.g. lathe, mill) desirable
  • Millwright experience desirable
  • Ability to troubleshoot and read basic electrical/mechanical schematics helpful
  • Hydraulic & pneumatic repair experience
  • A strong dedication to workplace safety
  • The job requires periodic heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs).

Generous compensation structure ($23.00 - $25.00 Starting Range)
OT calculated @ 1.5X after 8 hours worked daily

About Specialty Kraft Converters, LLC

Specialty Kraft Converters (SKC) is a privately owned domestic supplier of insulation vapor retarders and facings. We primarily supply residential building insulation manufacturers with printed and asphalt coated paper substrates. The manufacturing plant schedule is 7AM 7PM and 7PM 7AM, 4 to 5 days per week.
