Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPurchasing Admin - Katy, TX 77494Temp (4 weeks)Office hours will be around – 7am or 8am until 4:30pm-5pmPay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
• Organize and distribute the shortage report for refrigeration and OGC packages.
• Scan receiving proof of deliveries then upload/attach the POD to the purchase order.
• Assist the OGC team to track and organize job purchases.
• Assist purchasing team with purchase orders by monitoring deliveries and maintaining purchase records in Epicor.
• Interacts with suppliers to obtain pricing, expediting and estimated shipment dates.
• Verifies order acknowledgements and pricing.
• Supports a variety of logistical functions, including tracking costs, receiving, purchasing, and dispatching when applicable.
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
• Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies and log all order issues.
• Assist with invoice discrepancies from AP to resolve issues.
• Assist with purchase reports as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree, or B.Sc. in Logistics, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration or related fields preferred)
• Two to four years of experience in an administrative role.
