About the Role:
Join our team at Gen3 as a Technical Writer/Editor, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on the ISSM Vulnerability Compliance and Remediation Program. You will lead the creation of user-friendly documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with federal standards.

Location: Remote, Lanham, MD.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the development team to create user-friendly and technically accurate documentation.
  • Generate SOPs, reports, and workflow diagrams.
  • Ensure all written deliverables and the project artifacts adhere to 508 compliance requirements.
  • Create and/or leverage client templates and artifacts for all deliverables and written communication.
  • Support the creation of weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual project reports.
  • Conduct QA, technical writing, and editing on all project deliverables.
  • Attend client meetings, compiling and distributing notes and action items.
  • Work closely with developers and training specialists to create system training documentation.
What you'll need:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline, 1-3+ years of related experience in the field.
  • Understanding of federal 508 compliance standards and requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience translating technical requirements and content for non-technical audiences.
  •  Ability to use MS Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. to document applications, processes, workflows, etc.)
  • Light graphic development (preferred).
  • Able to attain IRS Public Trust. US citizenship or a green card is required.
What is desired:
  • Experience supporting the IRS, USDT, or other federal agencies with an active clearance is highly valued.

Most of our positions require a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder for consideration.   • A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory.
