High School ISS Monitor Job Description

Join Our Team as an ISS Monitor at St. Francis Indian School

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as an ISS Monitor at St. Francis Indian School AKA Sicangu Oyate Ho Inc. in St. Francis, SD.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the In-School Suspension (ISS) room and ensure a calm and productive atmosphere.
  • Monitor student behavior and address any conflicts or issues that may arise.
  • Encourage students to complete assigned work and uphold school policies.
  • Document incidents and communicate with school administrators as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them reflect on and learn from their actions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with youth in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Passion for supporting students and helping them succeed both academically and personally.
