Job Description:

Artportunity Knocks is seeking a dynamic and passionate Contract STEAM Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more STEAM fields and possess excellent communication and teaching skills. As a Contract STEAM Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating hands-on, interactive STEAM workshops for students of diverse ages and backgrounds.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum and lesson plans that integrate elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and experiment with STEAM concepts.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, tools, and resources to cater to diSerent learning styles and abilities.
  • Guide students through hands-on activities, experiments, and projects that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
  • Foster collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills among students through group projects and activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development in STEAM subjects.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, student performance, and evaluation results.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff members to ensure a positive and productive learning experience for all.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or experience in a relevant STEAM field (e.g., Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Arts, Computer Science, etc.) Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring students in STEAM subjects is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for education, creativity, and inspiring young minds to explore STEAM disciplines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust teaching strategies and approaches based on student needs and feedback.
  • Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources is a plus.
