We are a leading company in the foodservice industry, dedicated to excellence in quality and efficiency. We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in Conyers, GA. This role is pivotal in managing the procurement process for a diverse range of food-related materials and ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management.
Position Overview: The Purchasing Supervisor will oversee the procurement and logistics of up to 800 food-related materials, including purchases, maintenance, and transportation. This position requires a proactive leader with strong experience in food purchasing, logistics, and inventory management in an automated environment. You will lead a team to achieve efficiency and productivity goals while ensuring seamless food inventory operations.
Compensation: Starting at $80,000 base salary + 7-10.5% target annual bonus
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (with additional compensation for 6th/7th day OT Shift Premium Pay) - schedule flexibility will be required based on business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Materials/Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in food purchasing, including managing a diverse range of materials, expediting, transportation, and logistics in an automated environment.
- Prior supervisory experience is essential.
- Experience with short shelf life products is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
