Job description

The SQF Practitioner will plan, coordinate, and lead the facilities' Quality Assurance and Food Safety Programs to ensure compliance with all SQF Policies and Procedures, Customers Specifications, and Regulatory Compliance. Focus placed on continually improving product quality, and customer satisfaction and contributing to the long-term profitability of Compound Development Solutions, LLC.


Essential Functions/Duties:


Coordinate company Quality Assurance & Compliance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Document Control System for training, compliance, and review of SOPs by appropriate departments. Create and maintain Company SOPs and or SSOPs as needed.

Maintain the company’s SQF and Food Safety Programs. Develop plant-specific policies and procedures as needed and provide training to employees to ensure they understand the SQF code requirements.

Coordinate all SQF, third-party, and customer audits.

Authorization of the SQF program.

Coordinate/Conduct facility audits, accompany investigators, and ensure corrective actions and follow-up reports are tracked and completed. Includes physical inspection of equipment, buildings, and facility grounds for internal, regulatory, or customer audits.

Train and lead HACCP teams, and maintain Food Safety Plans.

Understand and manage Quality and Food Safety operations in a food manufacturing facility.

To assure compliance with the food safety/food quality programs, facilitate required employee training, complete required internal assessments, develop corrective/preventive actions, lead internal and 3rd party audits, and complete required validation and verifications of the system.

Attend seminars to develop skills needed to improve job performance.

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills:


FDA and regulations and laws

GMP and third-party auditing

SQF system requirements

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task

Ability to interact positively with all personnel within all functions of the company and with our suppliers and customers.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Willingness and ability to learn new skills as needed.

Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in a Science Field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of quality experience.

Solid understanding of FDA regulations.

Solid understanding of GFSI/SQF requirements, including experience leading GFSI audits.

Solid understanding of GMP Policies.

Licenses/Certifications:


SQF Certified

HACCP Certified

PCQI Certified
