Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures: Test the action of the heart using ultrasound waves to diagnose and monitor heart disease.
  • Patient Care: Prepare exam rooms, explain examination methods, position patients, and assess their status and needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring high-quality images and accurate documentation for our physician partners.
  • Equipment Management: Monitor equipment reliability and safety, report issues, and maintain a clean and well-stocked work environment.
  • Active Participation: Contribute to quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction and workflow improvement.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Boone Heart Institute with a professional, pleasant demeanor and a can-do attitude at our partner clinics.

Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentials (ARDMS, CCI or equivalent)
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree, Vascular registry, and at least one year of ultrasound experience.
