Job Description

Oversees daily Laundry operations within corporate and resort guidelines to ensure quality standards to ensure total guests’ satisfactions.

As a Laundry Supervisor, you will:

  • Be responsible for training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Supervise and motivate all laundry personnel with daily supervision to include staffing, training discipline and scheduling
  • Visually monitor performance to ensure adherence to all services and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction
  • Sort and count articles to verify inventory quantities
  • Be responsible for maintaining chemical inventory
  • Prepare the weekly schedule for laundry personnel to ensure adequate staff
  • Assign pickups of laundry from rooms and properties
  • Supply the Housekeeping Department with the correct inventory of linen and supplies for the buildings for checkouts
  • Ensure all equipment are working properly and cleaned on daily basis
  • Reports work orders when deficiency is noted, and maintenance is required in a timely manner
  • Ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to policy
  • Ensure the quality and productivity of Laundry Attendants and Wash Person are being met
  • Other duties may apply

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift 35lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Must be able to work in hot, humid conditions near loud, moving machine
  • Must be flexible with your schedule and have open availability
