Behavior Technician

Overview
Behavior Technicians work as part of our Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention [EIDBI] team providing medically necessary treatment to people under the age of 21 on Medical Assistance [MA] with autism spectrum disorder [ASD] and related conditions.
Responsibilities
Behavior Technicians provide direct client care through the application of Applied Behavior Analysis [ABA]. These interventions target the functional skills and core domains of people with ASD and related conditions using the principals of learning and behavior by:
- Providing intervention services in the comprehensive multi-disciplinary evaluation [CMDE] and identified in the person's individual treatment plan.
- Participating in monitoring the person's progress on goals and objectives and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with including client, parents caregivers, outside professionals, and other providers.
- Receiving required clinical supervision and intervention observation and direction as identified in the person's ITP.
*Given the needs of the families we serve, some evening and weekend shifts are required for this position.
This position is tiered into 3 levels based on qualifications:

Pay $23, Hourly

Qualifications
To qualify as a Level II Behavior Technician, a person must meet at least one of the following sets of requirements listed HERE

Behavior TechnicianLevel III
Type Part-time & Full-time, no less than 0.6 FTE
Location Duluth, MN
Pay $15, Hourly
1. Complete the level III provider training requirements during the first six months of employment (see EIDBI – Individual provider trainings) - Accend will provide this training
2. Be age 18 older
3. Meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Be fluent in a non-English language
- Have one year of experience as a primary personal care assistance (PCA) worker, community health worker, waiver service provider or special education assistant to a person with ASD or a related condition within the past five years.
