About this Opportunity:

Responsible for preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial and operational reporting, forecasting, and analysis projects. Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects. Prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Position reports to VP Finance/Corporate Controller

Financial Analysis:

  • Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers affecting financial performance.
  • Provide insights into business trends and financial forecasts.
  • Ad hoc analysis as needed


Reporting:

  • Prepare presentations for senior management and board meetings.
  • Communicate financial insights and key metrics to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Improve and automate reporting processes and procedures


Forecasting and Decision Support:

  • Work closely with senior management to develop long-term business plans.
  • Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • ROI analysis for Capital expenditures and other investments


Financial Planning:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
  • Develop detailed financial models to support forecasting and decision-making.
  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.


Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Accounting, Operations) to achieve business goals.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to various business units.
  • Integration of data analytics and reporting in collaboration with the I/T team on any future acquisitions or reorganizations.
  • Other duties may be required.


Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree


CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred certifications include CPA, CFA, or similar (depending on the industry).


EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven experience in building complex financial models and conducting scenario analysis.
  • Previous experience in a senior FP&A role or similar position.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software (e.g., Power BI, Insights, Hyperion) is preferred.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Power BI efficiency and experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Location: Womack Group is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Farmers Branch, TX facility.
