Job DescriptionJob Description

ReconCraft is seeking an Electrical / Outfitter to be responsible for assembling and outfitting newly manufactured vessels. Duties include installation of all parts, equipment, components, hardware, and accessories as part of a vessel manufacturing production line. Along with trouble shooting and integration of systems on vessels.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Using common hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with mechanical assemblies
  • Following documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and ensuring proper function of parts
  • Measurements with calipers, tape measures, various gauges, and other devices
  • Performing minor adjustments to tools and equipment
  • Assembling/testing of parts using drawings and bills of material
  • Point-to-point wiring
  • Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods including crimping and soldering taking notes

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High school graduate or GED
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Valid driver's license
    • Recent experience outfitting and assembling vessels or similar systems preferred
    • Installing outboard and inboard motors preferred
    • Installing waterjets, stern drives, and other similar propulsion systems preferred
    • Installing marine electronics preferred
    • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred
    • ABYC certifications are a bonus
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
    • This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity
    • Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks.
