Work Schedule: M-F 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (varied hours will be required as necessary)

Travel: Approx. 20% of the time (varies by project)

Job Overview:

The Project Manager is a Fetzer Representative who is empowered with the responsibility for daily coordination and direction of assigned projects so that they are safe, within budget, on schedule, and meet the quality standards and expectations that please the client. This role will be centered around the management of projects for high-profile clients who expect professionalism and products of exceptional quality. You will be responsible for working with the assigned project executive to carry out the business development, pricing, procurement, project management, and installation of Fetzer projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for providing leadership in collaboration with the Project Executive to one or more projects from inception through punch-out. This is done through exceptional management skills and a strong team spirit.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of projects assigned
  • Work directly with Clients, Architects, and GC throughout projects
  • Ensure project budgets are met
  • Ensure project schedule is maintained
  • Maintain a Project Executive Summary throughout the project
  • Help oversee the development and redline reviews of Fabrication Shop Drawings
    • Fluent in Fetzer Drafting Standards. Ensure all shop drawings meet company standards
    • Fluent in Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) / AWS Standards. Ensuring shop drawings meet industry standards
    • Fluent in the Client's design expectations and standards
    • Produce Cut Lists, Part Lists, and Material Quantity Take-offs
  • Be fluent in all Fetzer Systems and utilize them: Intranet, LTS, SVV, Visual Manufacturing, etc.
  • Contracts/O.s: Ensure project contracts are correctly processed and specifications followed/enforced
  • Oversee project layout, dimensional accuracy, interpretation of plans and specifications, communicate and establish control lines of subcontractors, job-wide safety, and quality of product
  • Communicate and coordinate engineering plan internally and externally to client
  • Understand and adhere to Fetzers' Scheduling System and Procedures:
    • Daily monitor and communicate with the needed resources to ensure the project schedule is being followed
  • Actively participates in daily huddles with the project team
  • Participates in weekly project value stream meetings (Production, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Prepares and submits project billings and ensures billings are processed and paid
  • Assures Project Control Samples / Mockups are completed, accurate, approved, and referenced in fabrication efforts
  • Oversees redline reviews and drafters' quality of Fetzers' Drawing Detail Standards
  • Create / process project Work Orders (WOs), Requests for Information (RFI), Change Orders (COs), Schedule of Values (SOVs), Notices of Delays (NODs), and Shipping Documentation
  • Follows and manages purchasing orders as follows:
    1. Quantity takeoffs performed and compared against project estimate/ bid
    2. Lead time identified
    3. Materials selected and ordered
    4. Demand entered
  • Work closely with the Site Manager to coordinate all site-related issues
  • Work with the Site Manager and Logistics Manager to manage and coordinate all deliveries to the site
  • Actively participates in Lean, System, Customer, and Self-Assessment Audits and training as needed
  • Other various responsibilities may be assigned

Preferred Educational and Professional Work Experience:

  • BS in Engineering, Construction, Architectural Studies, Construction Management, or Business Management
  • 5-years experience overseeing projects
  • Experience with construction and millwork industries
  • OSHA 10hr or 30hr Certified
  • LEED AP Certified
  • Project Management Certificate
  • AutoDesk, AutoCAD, and Inventor Software
  • OnScreen Take-off Software
  • Ability to speak French

Working Conditions:

  • Varied hours and travel will be required as necessary.
