What does a Jr. Tradesman with Paul Davis do?


This position will spend three to six months with our team learning and refining their skillset.  You will be in the field daily working on the production of small to medium sized projects that involve drywall, texture, paint, trim, light electrical and plumbing, and other residential reconstruction tasks as required to restore the property to pre-loss condition.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Working as a member of a team and individually to manage and perform repairs to property damage as a result of insurance related loss
  • Ability to use a smart phone or tablet to upload pictures, documents, and receipts required by the company as part of the daily routine
  • Report to company Foremen, Reconstruction Project Managers on a daily basis to review the day’s work and future schedule

Qualifications:


  • Extraordinary Customer Service Skills
  • Desire to be proficient in construction trades
  • Provide your own basic tools
  • Basic knowledge of the construction process
  • Hang and finish drywall to level 3
  • Basic trim (base, case & crown)
  • Installation of different types of flooring
  • Job prep
  • Job site clean up
  • Paint trim

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Lift (constantly) 5-40 lbs., lift (frequently) 20-100 lbs..
  • May involve significant stand/walk/ push/pull.
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud from occasional to frequent.
