Crater

The position of Crater is responsible is for creating and building various shipping containers.

DUTIES

• Fabricate wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and powered tools
• Read blueprints, shipping notices and other specifications to determine materials needed and types of support and braces to be used
• Assembles materials using nailing or stapling machine, screws, bolts, glue and hand tools
• Wraps and pads products
• Builds crate around large or odd-shaped articles
• Wraps and tightens metal bands around crate using banding equipment
• Attach proper identification labels on crates
• Cover equipment with neoprene or other protective covering to protect it during shipments

To become a part of our team we require applicants for our Crater position to have the following qualifications:

SKILLS

• Knowledge of packing/crating procedure
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Written and verbal communication proficiency
• Ability to read a tape measure

EDUCATION

• High School diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience

EXPERIENCE

• One year of experience in Crating, service or similar industry. Sign industry experience preferred
