Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of computers, varied office machines, and software required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- EMS experience preferred.
- Prior hospital experience including MA, and EMS experience desired.
- Typing skills - 45WPM.
Responsibility:
- Assign patients to a hospital room, interview-incoming patients prior to date of admission. Explain hospital policies regarding deposits, parking, personal items, and visitation.
- Input patient information into the on-line EMR system.
- Greet patients, obtain necessary signature of consent for treatment and insurance forms.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good public communication skills.
- All other duties as assigned
