Sterling Engineering is looking for a refurbishing technician for a company located in Vernon Hills, IL that specializes in the designing and manufacturing of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. Job Duties:
  • Inspect, repair, and calibrate heads and other parts
  • Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate machine repairs
  • Prepare units for shipment to customers.
  • Manage inventory of returned units and warranty parts.
  • Coordinate relocation of returned units.
  • Set up returned and purchased machines.
  • Continuously develop technical skills related to equipment.
  • Work with micro components.

Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with repairs of mechanical parts/machines.
  • Ability to work with and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience utilizing computerized ordering systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.
