Contract Outpatient Mental Health Therapist provides comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment plan review, individual outpatient therapy, family, marriage, and group therapy, and advocacy for in-office and community-based services. This position will work with consumers, families, and natural supports to provide, as needed, crisis assessment and intervention; symptom assessment and management; individual counseling and psychotherapy; substance use assessment; psychoeducation and psychotherapeutic support and consultation.

Requirements:
  • North Carolina Licensed (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, PHd) required or eligible for North Carolina Licensure
  • Master’s degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education required.
  • At least two years of experience providing assessments, and psychotherapy, with adults and adolescents who possess complex behavioral health issues required preferred.
  • Previous work completing diagnostic assessments as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team preferred.
  • Certification in EMDR a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with consumers with varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds
  • Experience across multiple languages and cultures, particularly with refugees or immigrant populations with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 products, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms (Teams/Zoom)
