College Intern

This position is an entry-level CAT Support Service Technician intern and will be under the direct guidance of an experienced Service Supervisor to receive on-the-job training. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall CAT Support Service Department operation.

1. Will attend company instructed classroom courses as required

2. Complete on-line safety training and attend regular safety meetings

3. Receive coaching, mentoring and feedback from Service leadership

On-the-job training curriculum may include:

• Perform maintenance
• Help install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components
• Clean and/or lubricate machines
• Examine and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure the proper functioning
• Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools
• Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components
• Perform welding and other NDT tasks to ensure standards are met

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must be a current student enrolled in a Skilled/technical program.
