Job Summary

A Drop Bury Supervisor at Lightspeed Construction Group is responsible for the migration of Drop Bury work from client reporting to internal tracking reporting, including the creation, and tracking of utility locate tickets related to Drop Bury job. Coordinates with Drop Bury crews to ensure proper assignment and completion of work at the end of each day and the scheduling and routing of jobs for the next day. Assists with communication between client and Lightspeed via email and works alongside Drop Bury crew’s management to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution to damage claims, priority escalations and client expectations.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience (2+) years in drop bury (FTTH & HFC), fiber splicing, cabling, or related field service roles.

- Knowledge of drop bury electrical systems and low voltage installations.

- Proficiency in planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize schedules to meet customer's expectations.

- Availability on weekends (6-day work week when needed)??

Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of company and independent contract technicians providing guidance on drop bury, telephone systems, and cabling installations.

- Serve as primary in field leader contact between client and Lightspeed management and works alongside Drop Bury management to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution to damage claims, priority escalations and client expectations.

- Coordinate field service activities and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Conduct quality control checks on job site periodically to be documented.

- Must understand design parameters as the relate to RF, conduits, and powering specifications.

- Handling and tracking of all property damage and locates from beginning to completion.

- Instruct drop bury crews and warehouse team on material needs (ordering and keeping up with inventory)

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in a supervisor role is a plus.

- Familiarity with fiber optic networks and telecommunications infrastructure

- Experience performing drop buries and specifically road bores.

- Ability to use excel spreadsheet.

- Ability to receive and resolve escalated issues with customers (email and verbally)

Knowledge Required of a Drop Bury Supervisor:

· Building and Construction — Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.

· Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

· Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
