HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

The Henderson Products Sales Manager is responsible for the sales growth and management of sales representatives within the regional sales territory, consisting of Henderson locations in Fulton MO and Manchester IA. The Sales Manager’s leadership is key to Henderson Products’ sales growth and maintaining the company’s image to end users (municipalities) for quality products and services.

  • In support of the Sales Representatives, responsible for forecasting, development, and effective implementation of sales and marketing plans to achieve company sales goals. Partner with Operations to ensure customer needs are met and operations are efficient.
  • Effective Sales management of the existing assigned territory (MO – IA), including establishment of buying cycles, customer needs and relations, truck dealer relations, and internal operations relations.
  • Effective management and mentoring of the Sales staff is critical to the company’s success. It is essential that high-caliber company representatives are recruited, trained, motivated, developed, and retained.
  • Recommend and manage advertising programs, regional trade shows, and other market specific activities to cost effectively promote Henderson Products in the Regional Territory and overall industry.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and monitor competitive activity and trends.
  • Develop and maintain sales programs by keeping customers informed directly about available services, equipment, prices, and new products.
  • Support Sales Representatives and ultimately, customers in selection of equipment for specific applications, product trouble diagnoses and resolution.
  • Regular travel schedule to effectively manage company Sales Representatives and assigned territory (MO – IA.)
  • Knowledgeable of features, benefits and use of products, with complete knowledge of selling techniques and ability to close sales and develop business.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Related field preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in Sales or Sales Management, in truck equipment industry and/or municipal sales preferred
  • Extensive truck equipment industry knowledge, or strong ability to learn
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem analysis and resolution ability; ability to work with equipment specifications
  • Technological skills required with knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel , Word and PowerPoint.
  • Organizational, detail, follow-up and employee motivational and development skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player
