Summary: Plan, supervise, direct and coordinate all business-related activity, performance and support of landfill and embankment product lines within the U.S. and Canadian regions. Support BOMAG dealer organization, customers (direct and indirect) and field personnel with market awareness, product knowledge and application needs with the objective to improve competency of such products as well as provide a thorough understanding of their competitive positioning to drive retail sales, achieve Company market share objectives and ultimately provide economical solutions to retail customer needs, while maximizing product line profitability for Company.


Responsibilities (list is not exhaustive):

  • Establish and implement sales and market share growth targets by region.
  • Plan and implement sound business initiatives, including supporting action plans for dealer organization, field sales team, field service team and select direct sale Key Accounts to maximize company market share.
  • Prepare pricing, margin analysis and retail promotion proposals based on competitive pricing, market opportunities and actual product costs.
  • Identify high potential markets as well as non-performing areas and help support the field sales organization with both the channel and dealer development activities required for better promotion of products.
  • Develop and foster relations with Key Account end users and implement “push-pull” sales and support strategies to drive incremental sales either through dealer network or direct “key account “opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain accurate sales forecasts to assist in proper production planning and inventory control. Manage inventory levels in accordance to company goals.
  • Develop sales programs, methods, advertising and promotional ideas, sales campaigns, etc. Review and coordinate such programs with the sales teams and customers.
Requirements:
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience in business or related area required.
  • Prior experience with heavy equipment in a product sales environment (preferably construction applications, compaction and waste management)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive personal attitude, sense of urgency, creative problem solver, and ability to motivate in diverse organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment
  • Minimum 75% overnight travel required
