We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of our treatment center. This position is essential to ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas of the facility including bedrooms, common areas, offices, and restrooms.
  • Empty and sanitize trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces such as countertops, sinks, and tables.
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials in designated areas.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining the exterior areas of the facility, including sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate department.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of germs and ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with clients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a residential treatment setting.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
