Summary
This position will support the accuracy of our inventory reporting while assisting in promulgating best practices across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify root causes of inventory variances through transaction research
- Propose solutions and process changes to prevent re-occurrence of ongoing issues
- Recommend changes to cycle count program based on count results
- Review causes of systemic issues (e.g. negative inventory balances, discrepancies in on-hand quantities, etc.)
- Review MUV and understand how and why materials are over-issued or under-issued
- Collaborate with Engineering Department to validate BOMs with physical samples
- Review cost discrepancies in counts (conversion transactions)
- Review account alias transactions for accuracy
- Perform deep-dive reviews of key inventory process steps (e.g., cable completion transactions, issue transactions to open work orders, multiple work order releases for same part numbers, etc.)
Qualifications/Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree or other equivalent certification (CPA, CMA, etc.)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or managing inventory transactions
- Experience using large ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) a plus
