Position Summary


The ERP Gatekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the databases and applications, as well as performing inventory control activities. This position will require both a technical level experience and the ability to interface with all levels of users. The ERP Gatekeeper will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for management information systems and computer science.

  • Prepares inventory reports and identifies discrepancies to be reconciled
  • Manages and maintains inventory systems for correct counts, weights, and dimensions
  • Monitors item location accuracy
  • Codes and manages automated tasks
  • Supports and maintains enterprise resource planning and database applications
  • Develops reports and custom requests for users
  • Runs reports as needed to sustain operations
  • Assists with application and user support when needed
  • Inventory accounting, tracking, and management
  • Tests programs or databases, corrects errors, and makes necessary modifications
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure
  • Specifies users and user access levels for each segment of the database
  • Develops methods for integrating different products so they work properly together, such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs
  • Works as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations
  • Process improvement
  • Reviews project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish projects
  • Trains users and answers questions
  • Reviews workflow charts to understand tasks computers will perform, such as updating records
  • Assists purchasing by creating/maintaining automated tools to guide the process

Supervisory Responsibility


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment


This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, use hands to fingers, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required on occasion to lift and/or move items up to and including 50 pounds.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is an in-office full-time position with the expected minimum 40 hours a week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime may be required as necessary.


Travel


Occasional overnight travel may be expected for this position up to one week annually.


Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Four years of IT experience required
  • Four years of inventory management experience required
    • Experience in the following:
      • Microsoft Access - Intermediate
      • Microsoft Excel - Intermediate
      • Crystal Reports - Intermediate
      • SQL - Intermediate
      • Report writing - Intermediate
      • Supply Chain Management Solutions - Intermediate
        • Macola ES
        • WiSys
