Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to support our centers in Oakland, CA. This role involves remote management of our Antioch and Walnut Creek centers. The Nurse Practitioner will use a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to provide direct patient care and coordinate infusion and injection activities in compliance with professional practice and clinical standards in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Supervise and administer IV infusions and injections for patients with chronic illnesses.
- Education & Preparation: Assist in the preparation of biologics and educate patients on medication risks, side effects, and benefits.
- Coordination: Discuss care plans with ordering providers and ensure seamless communication between our infusion center and referring providers.
- Clinical Oversight: Review orders, verify medical records, and ensure diagnostic tests support diagnosis and treatment.
- Staff Management: Assist in managing registered nurses and other staff, addressing any issues that arise in the clinic.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or post-master level certificate in pediatrics.
- Certifications: Current BLS/AED & ACLS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a hospital, clinic, or ambulatory setting, caring for children and adults.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Proficient with EMR and comfortable starting IVs and managing infusion reactions.
Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $65 - $70, based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
