The focus of the Technical Project Management task area is to oversee and drive information technology (IT) technical innovation and advisory support services; application and tool oversight; and strategic planning and acquisition planning support.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team, ensuring effective collaboration within an integrated product team (IPT) to deliver services to customers. Manage the day-to-day activities and provide direct supervision to personnel assigned to the task order.

  • Customer Service and Problem Solving: Exhibit strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities. Maintain effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication with stakeholders.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance, cost, and schedule of the task order. Develop and maintain project performance and status reports.
  • Planning and Organization: Organize, plan, and direct all contractor support activities. Formulate and review deliverable items, ensuring conformance with prescribed standards and schedules outlined in the PWS.
  • Adaptability and Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to work and lead effectively in a complex and changing environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Interface continuously with task order personnel and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.

    Required Skills:


  • Educational and Professional Background: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics. Program Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience: Position requires at least ten (10) years of experience in the above-cited responsibilities.
  • Team Collaboration: Excels in highly collaborative and fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic Expertise: Capable of understanding and representing both business and technology perspectives.
  • On-Time Delivery: Demonstrates a passionate commitment to meeting deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira.
  • Risk Management: Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align project goals with organizational strategy and long-term objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality control processes and standards to ensure project deliverables meet the required specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to process improvement and the implementation of best practices.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of managing a Federal Government program or project.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent oral and written communication skills, workshop facilitation, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
