Who we're looking for:

We are looking for our next Bakery Technician to join our team based in CT.

Those with hands-on, in-store Bakery Department experience and/or Bakery Managers will be given top priority.

A typical week might include the following:

  • Traveling to customer locations
  • Training and developing customer employees
  • Executing plan-o-grams
  • Assisting stores with resets and remodels
  • Building displays
  • Production and decoration of products

The role might be right for you if you have:

  • Credibility. You must have hands-on experience at an in-store bakery or stand-alone bakery. Experience with a food sales and marketing agency is beneficial.   
  • Clear communication skills. You must be comfortable training new and existing customer employees.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed. You raise your hand for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You take ownership of Affinity Group customers and make a difference as their business partner.
  • Emotional intelligence. This position will interact with a diverse range of customers and colleagues, each with unique challenges. The ability to connect with everyone you meet is key to success in this role.
  • Savvy time management. You’ll wear many hats, so you need to show you’ve honed those time management skills

Bonus points if you possess:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree or relevant industry related experience
  • Culinary background
  • Serve Safe

What to expect:

  • Shifts will vary depending on the needs of our customer. Bakery Technicians typically work early mornings. You can except to work some shifts like this: 5am-1:30pm, 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm
  • The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, with the ability to safely lift case goods (20-30 lbs.)  
  • Travel: Position requires daily motor vehicle travel to assigned locations.
