As a Deli Prep Attendant at Stroudsmoor Inn Town Bakery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our deli operations. You will be responsible for preparing a wide range of deli items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering excellent customer service.


1. **Food Preparation:** Prepare a variety of deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and cold-cut platters according to established recipes and standards.


2. **Ingredient Management:** Monitor and manage inventory of deli ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper rotation of products. Notify the supervisor when items need to be restocked.


3. **Sanitation:** Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including deli counters, equipment, and storage areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.


4. **Customer Service:** Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations when necessary.


5. **Quality Control:** Ensure that all deli items meet quality and presentation standards before serving to customers.


6. **Cash Handling:** Accurately handle cash and electronic payments, operate the cash register, and provide correct change to customers.


7. **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other kitchen staff and deli team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.


8. **Compliance:** Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.


9. **Training:** Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on menu items, promotions, and company policies.


- Previous experience in a similar role in a deli or food service setting is preferred but not required.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.

- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
