Job DescriptionJob Description
Summary

Small Beginnings Child Care is a new, non-profit provider located in Strasburg and is currently seeking one Assistant Teacher. Our facility currently consists of one classroom, with children ages 2 1/2-5. You will work one-on-one with the Director, lead teacher, and families in the community to provide high-quality, individualized care to each child.
We are a very small business, with a licensing capacity of 15 children. Friendly and supportive work environment.

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
  • Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
  • Assist with community engagement and fundraising events as needed.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.


Requirements

  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification - will help obtain.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Must be able to work the following shifts:

Monday: 10-Close
Tuesday: 12-Close
Wednesday: 12-Close
Thursday: 9:30-Close
Friday: 9:30-Close
