Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Carpentry Foreman to lead our team of skilled carpenters in the field. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, extensive knowledge of wood and metal framing, and a broad understanding of various trades, including drywall, painting, flooring, and ACT ceilings. This role requires excellent leadership, professionalism, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of carpenters and laborers on commercial construction projects.
  • Plan and execute wood and metal framing tasks according to project specifications and schedules.
  • Ensure high-quality work while adhering to safety protocols and building codes.
  • Coordinate with other trades, such as drywall, flooring, painting, and finish carpentry, to ensure seamless project completion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manage materials and equipment, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste.
  • Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter, with expertise in wood and metal framing for commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of various carpentry trades, including drywall, flooring, paint, and finish carpentry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
