Begin your career caring for residents as a member of the dining services team Fairmount Homes in Ephrata is hiring Dining Servers Join a fun, team environment Fairmount is hiring a dining server who wants to learn to cook in our skilled and personal care residential areas.

Position: Dining Server, 32 hours / week, 6am - 2pm, including every other weekend + occasional 11am - 7pm rotational shift

Starting Pay: $16.20 - 17.50 per hour, plus +$1 evenings, +$1.25 weekends

This position is responsible for assisting the Farm Crest cooks in the preparation and service of quality food, while complying with sanitation and safety regulations.

Qualifications of Dining Server:

• Must have basic knowledge of safe and sanitary food and equipment handling practices.

• Personal hygiene and dress must conform with required standards.

• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

Essential Duties of Dining Server:

• Deliver hot and cold foods, and liquids, to specified locations with each meal.

• With nursing team members, serve meals to Healthcare and Personal Care residents.

• Prepare toast for breakfast, and coffee for Café and Personal Care, for all meals.

• Portion/serve cold sandwiches, condiments, salads, fruit, desserts, special nourishments, thickened liquids, and beverages.

• Set tables in Personal Care dining room for meals.

• After each meal in Personal Care, remove dirty dishes and napkins. Sanitize the tables.

• Operates, cleans, and maintains the dishwasher.

• Cleans the kitchen and assists with putting away stock as needed.

• Portion, and deliver, nourishments and supplies between meals to the Healthcare and Personal Care specified by nursing staff and the dietitian.

• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in work areas and use of food service equipment.
