Position Title: Master Controls Electrician

Position Description: The Master Electrician will be responsible for panel building, wiring and electrical controls of electrical components used on automation equipment projects according to approved design and customer specifications.

  • Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.
  • Communicate with the project team on open issues and progress during the build process.
  • Assist with the successful execution of equipment builds including cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively and safely troubleshoot wiring and circuits
  • Read and understand schematics
  • Lead Projects that you are assigned to and effectively have other team members work with you.
  • Sit through Design Review Meetings and be able to assist with design as needed.
  • Work Along side Controls Engineers with print review and Power up / Debug.
  • Train other team members.
  • Plan projects out from start to finish, Project Plan, order needed electrical material, project execution plan, install plan.
  • Problem solves issues / poke yokes / cycle time
  • Travel for install and runoffs with customers
  • Identify electrical problems, and recommend adjustments/repair work as necessary
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments during all phases of the project including de-bug and runoff

Education and Experience Requested

  • Valid Master Electrician License through the State of Michigan
  • Proficiency in wiring complex mechanical components
  • Lead and direct electrical work of assigned projects with little to no supervision
  • High regard for safety standards
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the year, locally and nationally
  • Experience training less experienced electricians
  • Experience with Microsoft
  • Ability to order required wire / cables for projects assigned to.

Salary: $30/hour +
Additional Compensation: Overtime pay, travel pay
