Bus Cleaner

Hours - 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Starting Pay - $17.80/hr.

Sign-on Bonus - $1,000.00

Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc., a family-run business celebrating its 83rd year, is currently seeking a full-time Wash Bay Crew Member-Interior/Exterior Bus Cleaner. Trans-Bridge Lines seeks individuals who possess a positive attitude, attention to detail and good work ethic.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Completion of initial training and ongoing training.
• Safely transport and park motorcoach and/or support vehicle without incident in parking and wash bay area.
• Check and maintain fluids (i.e. engine oil, coolant, windshield fluid, etc.) in all vehicles.
• Inspect rear, front and side lighting in vehicle making sure they work.
• Sweep and mop support vehicle and/or motorcoach, including driver area, stairs, lavatory, center aisle, and under seats.
• Empty and wash wastebaskets.
• Clean and remove garbage from luggage racks.
• Clean lavatory including toilet, sink, walls, window, and floor.
• Brush off seats of any debris and return them, footrests, and armrests to their proper position.
• Clean all windows in support vehicle and/or motorcoach and wipe down entrance.
• Remove gum and other residue from floor of motorcoach and/or support vehicle.
• Clean driver area, instrument panel, seat, courtesy panel/glass, floor, and windshield in vehicle.
• Report and follow lost and found policy and procedure.
• Fuel motorcoach and/or support vehicles and drive motorcoach through washer.
• Drain lavatory into sewer and add chemicals.
• Wash front and rear outside including all wheels of motorcoach and/or support vehicle.
• Hand hoses containing water and cleaning solutions to interior cleaner. Interior cleaner returns hoses to fueler upon completion of lavatory cleaning and fueler returns hoses to hanging position on wall.
• Inspect tires for air leaks in vehicles.
• Inspects luggage bays and clean them if needed.
• Complete all paperwork associated with cleaning/washing/fueling (i.e. mileage and fuel consumption).
• Clean/Maintain workshop, wash bay area and company grounds.
• Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate a bus safely.
• Detail Oriented.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Punctual to work - hours are 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM
  
  

Education and Experience:

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid driver License. CDL preferred.
• Prior experience cleaning and/or detailing vehicles preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and physical exam.
• Be able to stand, bend, squat, twist, turn and reach.
• Be able to fit into small, confined spaces.
• Be able to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends as needed or per your schedule.
