Primary Therapist

Phoenix Behavioral Health, a leading provider in mental health and substance use treatment is seeking to hire Primary Therapist/Supervisor with extensive substance use and mental health counseling and management experience to join our dynamic team of providers in our Ewing, NJ location. This staff will be responsible for providing onsite direct services to our evening substance abuse intensive outpatient program, professional development and supervision of clinical staff who are working towards licensure, and supporting the administrative team in furthering the Phoenix vision and mission. 

* Carry a caseload of 8 clients and will support both in person and hybrid treatment within out Ewing office location.

* Complete biopsychosocial intake assessments, group therapy notes, individual therapy notes and family session notes.

* Conduct group therapy, individual sessions, family sessions, attend treatment team meetings and weekly staff meetings. 

* Strong clinical acumen and soft skills are a requirement.

* ASAM and LOCUS knowledge is required (familiarity with NJSAMS desired,

* Understanding and use of evidence based treatment.

* Strong clinical documentation skills and treatment planning experience required.

* Understanding of Utilization Review and peer review process.

* Discharge planning and case management expertise. 

Core Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Management with a CCS or ACS  of 3 years (Required)
  • Substance Abuse Counseling, 3 years (Required)
  • Mental Health Counseling 3 years (Preferred)
• License:
  • LCSW/LPC (Required)
  • LCADC (Required)
  • CCS (Required)
