Position Summary:
As an Electrical Helper, you will be an essential part of our team, assisting experienced electricians in various tasks to ensure the successful completion of electrical projects. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop foundational skills in the electrical field.
Responsibilities:
Assist journeyman and master electricians in electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
Safely handle and organize tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.
Pull and route electrical wires, cables, and conduit under the guidance of experienced electricians.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including outlets, switches, lighting, panels, and other components.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
Support the setup and calibration of electrical equipment and machinery.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
Perform basic electrical tests and measurements to assist in troubleshooting.
Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in running and securing wiring, cables, and conduit in compliance with electrical codes.
Learn and adhere to company policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and develop electrical skills.
Enthusiasm for working with your hands and learning from experienced electricians.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in electrical work is a plus.
Willingness to follow instructions, safety protocols, and company guidelines.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in various environments.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship programs.
Willingness to travel to job sites (given advanced notice). This travel may be for weeks at a time.
