Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain apparel manufacturing equipment, including sewing machines, presses, and cutters.
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications to produce garments according to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in an apparel manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficient in operating different types of sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications and production instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in apparel manufacturing or related industry.
- Knowledge of garment construction techniques and textile materials.
- Proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and other apparel production equipment.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a sewing machine operator or similar position is preferred.
- Training or certification in apparel production or manufacturing is a plus.
