Sweet Home Quilting And Supplies Inc in Madison, AL is looking for one retail salesperson to join our 11 person strong team. We are located at 893 Capshaw Rd Nw. Our ideal candidate is friendly, punctual, and outgoing. We are growing and adding to our retail offerings so we are needing to hire several positions. Come join our team and be part of something exciting

This position requires working with customers that come in the store, assisting customers over the phone, checking-in quilts for our Quilting Department, and keeping up with maintenance and presentation of products in the store.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers in the store and on the phone and help them with their quilting needs
  • Cut fabrics accurately for customers as needed
  • Check in quilts from customers and assist with design and thread selections
  • Maintain knowledge of our products
  • Keep fabrics and product shelves organized and tidy
  • Work the register checking out customers
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Quilting knowledge is required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an approachable and friendly manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable using a computer
  • Be able to be on your feet for the entire day
  • Be punctual and dependable
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be open to learning new things and keep up with knowledge of the quilting industry

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation depends on your experience.
