Position: Warehouse Operations Clerk

Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Warehouse Operations Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all shipping and receiving documents and outbound routes. You will communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and customers to support our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and verify receiving and shipping documents.
  • Maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities.
  • Verify shipping orders and quantities against picking documents.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Collect and route documentation for inbound freight.
  • Support special projects as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or senior management.
  • Answer and route telephone calls politely and efficiently.
  • Prepare, maintain, and issue voice pick equipment to selectors, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Facilitate the outbound order assignment process.
  • Ensure timely closure of routes by managing workflow within the WMS system.
  • Assign shorts, seafood, chemicals, and shuttles as needed to complete routes.
  • Invoice routes upon completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills Required:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic typing skills and familiarity with 10-key.
  • Experience with shipping software systems (UPS, FedEx).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to work in varying facility conditions and temperatures.
  • Prior experience with a warehouse management system, preferably AS400 or similar.
  • Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Capability to stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods.
  • Visual acuity for close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.
  • Repeating motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Operating machinery, power tools, and motor vehicles.
  • Working in noisy environments, hazardous conditions, and poor ventilation.
  • Ability to work in temperature-varied environments for extended periods, ranging from -10&degree;F to 90&degree;F.
