Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries for athletes and active individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports medicine, a passion for promoting physical health, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Injury Prevention and Education:

    • Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to the specific needs of athletes.
    • Educate athletes, coaches, and staff on injury prevention techniques, proper conditioning, and safe exercise practices.
  2. Injury Assessment and Diagnosis:

    • Perform thorough assessments of athletic injuries and determine appropriate treatment plans.
    • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to evaluate the severity of injuries.
  3. Treatment and Rehabilitation:

    • Provide immediate first aid and emergency care as needed during practices, games, and competitions.
    • Develop and supervise rehabilitation programs to facilitate the recovery of injured athletes.
    • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure a safe and timely return to activity.
  4. Collaboration with Medical Professionals:

    • Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation plans.
    • Communicate effectively with coaches, athletes, and parents regarding injury status and progress.
  5. Record Keeping and Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation sessions.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines for athletic training.
  6. Team Support and Event Coverage:

    • Provide athletic training services during practices, games, and events, including travel with teams as required.
    • Assist with the preparation and organization of team equipment and supplies.
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification: Must be certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer, preferably in a school, college, or professional sports setting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of sports injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks associated with athletic training, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess injuries and determine the best course of action.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Ability to provide emotional support to athletes during recovery.

Work Environment: This position requires flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel with athletic teams. The Athletic Trainer may work in various settings, including clinics, schools, sports fields, and gyms.

Compensation - Min: $50,000| Max: $70,000

This position is in the proposal stage, we are waiting to be awarded the project.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
