OPS Consulting is seeking a Build and Integration Engineer 3 to work in Laurel, MD.

As a Build and Integration Engineer 3 at OPS Consulting you will be responsible for the operation, design, and integration of a broad range of systems and components. You will provide expertise on integrating sub-systems at scale, as well as interfaces with environmental systems, facilities, data systems, and security infrastructure.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with complex systems integration
  • 5+ years of experience with CAD modeling and analysis (one or more of SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with integrating systems that having challenging facility and supporting infrastructure requirements.
    • Work area environment
    • Safety and Security
    • Facility physical access
  • Familiarity with large scientific instruments (CERN, WEBB Telescope)
  • Significant expertise in at least two of the following areas and familiarity with at least three additional areas:
    • High vacuum systems
    • Liquefaction
    • Low temperature systems and thermal analysis
    • Pneumatics distribution
    • Hydraulics distribution
    • Stress modeling and analysis
    • Vibrational modeling and analysis
    • Civil/architectural engineering
    • Advanced fabrication and manufacturing process control

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 14 years of experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, Physics or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Five years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.


Security Clearance: A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
