Winslow, ME
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a 6-month role that supports the human resources processes by scheduling interview appointments, maintaining HR, benefits, and confidential records and information, and performing basic benefits administration.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Organize, compile, and update company personnel records and documentation.
- Recruitment of potential applicants through job postings
- Conduct preliminary interviews of potential candidates and make offers of employment
- Administrative tasks include performing background checks, filing paperwork, completing employee documentation, recording data on each current employee, and maintaining and filing paperwork of terminated or exiting employees.
- Represent the company at community and recruiting events.
- Provide administrative support for office personnel.
- Answer employee questions and address employee concerns with the company; report to HR Manage
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in a manufacturing setting, including hiring and retention.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Effectively plan and demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrates above-average problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of local employment laws with the ability to apply them to situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
