Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPeoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent manufacturer in the Greensboro, NC area, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team This is a climate-controlled facility offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and much more Pay rate will start at $19.00/hr. The position will be on 1st shift from 7 OR 8 am with a 30 minute to 1 hour lunch.
Job Description: Sample Lab Technician
Responsible Party: Vice President- R&D
Job Summary: The Research and Development department has primary responsibility for the creation of new products and for technical assistance to all other departments. The position of technical assistant will be responsible for compounding formulations for sales requests and for R&D personnel, keeping the laboratory stocked and clean as well as performing sensory taste tests as needed. This position reports directly to Sample Lab Supervisor.
Essential Functions of the job are: Specific Duties: • Compound flavors for Customer samples and R&D personnel • Compound samples for QC when needed • Compound prototypes for R&D when needed • Keep raw materials in R&D lab stocked and filled • Keep R&D laboratory clean and organized • Perform Sensory tasting -optional if needed • Carry out other tasks as needed by R&D
Entry Qualifications: Facility and Equipment Operations • Some college preferred – science background and basic lab skills necessary • Ability to compound formulas • Basic math skills and ability to give attention to detail • Basic computer skills including ability to learn Microsoft Word and Excel • Ability to keep good records • Knowledge of basic lab practices to operate and maintain a safe and professional lab working environment • Ability to complete the food safety and regulatory training programs • Good communication and human relations skills in dealing with supervisors and other employees. • Able to understand, and carry out direction of Management • Must be of 18 years of age in order to meet all workplace and food product safety regulations • Must pass the Company prescribed, job specific, “Physical Abilities” testing as well as a pre-employment Physical • Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug-screen • Must satisfactorily complete an Application for Employment • Must satisfactorily complete a reference and background check • Must complete client's Confidentiality Agreement • Must provide identification and already be authorized to be legally employed on an ongoing basis in the United States.
