Wylander, a recruiting company for the disaster restoration industry, is recruiting a Full Charge Bookkeeper for a full-service restoration company located in Norwalk, CT.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: $25.00 Plus hourly DOE

The Bookkeeper is responsible for performing and managing the day-to-day Accounting and Administration functions of the company. The Bookkeeper will also be responsible for processing payroll and investigating ways to improve profitability. This person should be a self-starter, with excellent computer skills for handling accounting and finance data.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately invoice clients and manage accounts payable
  • Manage the company's checking accounts and cash flows
  • Reconcile the company's checking accounts monthly
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Collect overdue accounts receivable
  • Accurately prepare the company's payroll
  • Prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Direct and coordinate the company's financial planning and budget management functions
  • Manage the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Oversee daily operations of the Finance department
  • Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal reporting requirements
  • Work with other department heads, executives, and owners to develop and execute the strategic plan
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the company
  • Provide recommendations for process and procedure improvements

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks (Intuit), Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven strong time management, organizational, process improvement, and independence skills
  • Consent to satisfactory credit check upon hire
