Union-Snyder Aging on Aging, Inc., a non-profit Area Agency on Aging, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Protective Services Worker position located in our Lewisburg office. We’ll provide you with extensive training and an opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through supportive coaching from management and peers. 


As a Protective Services Worker, you will have a consistent workload and will be responsible for investigating reports of elder abuse, neglect, exploitation and abandonment; taking appropriate action and/or providing protective services; and maintaining a caseload of vulnerable consumers, ensuring that all documentation is thorough, accurate and properly recorded. This position also requires some on-call, which is extra compensation. The successful candidate must be precise, thorough, accountable, and driven to deliver high-quality work.   

 

Applicants will possess a Bachelor’s degree with a social welfare major with coursework in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences, and two years of experience in public or private social work including one-year direct aging program experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and advanced computer skills are required. Must have a valid PA driver’s license and current auto insurance.


The starting hourly wage is $19.92 per hour which is based on a 37.5 hour work week, Monday through Friday. We offer an excellent benefit package that includes a generous amount of paid time off, a retirement plan with an annual contribution rate of 6%, and group health insurance with a low monthly premium plus dental, vision, and supplemental insurances. We also offer the ability to work some remote days after 6 months of employment.
